Staying at home for a long time is a pain. Period.
Don’t get me wrong. I love my home. My hubby and I put our sweat and tears into our house and we love it.
But staying indoors for too long is suffocating.
I want to go out, feeling the sun on my skin, the gentle breeze on my face and strolling leisurely.
But it seems this won’t be the case for some time and we are staying indoors until better times come ahead.
While being at home, I need to clean up and organize everything. I’m still the clean freak around the house.
And when I have my messy hubby who is staying home 24/7, you can imagine the confrontation coming… LOL!
But to soothe things down, there is one common food that my hubby and I love above all else: Fried Chicken!
Yeah, I know fried chicken isn’t good for health but it is so freakin’ tasty with its golden crunchy exterior and juicy interior.
But to keep us sane especially during these harsh times, we definitely need that!
Although we know the traditional fried chicken recipes, I love to try variants from other countries, which bring some exciting new taste to an otherwise beloved food worldwide.
Here are my best homemade fried chicken recipes to keep you sane at home!

#5 Spicy Korean Fried Chicken
Straight from South Korea comes their take on the Fried Chicken.
The secret lies in its sauce blend of chili paste, tomatoes, garlic, honey and lemon juice that you dabble on the fried crispy golden coating of your chicken.
Of course, you can make it less spicy by favoring more tomato sauce than chili but what’s life without some spice? LOL!

In Taiwan, they love to serve fried chicken popcorn from deboned meat of chicken thighs or breasts.
Adding rice wine in the chicken enhances the flavor of the meat but the success of this recipe is that you will eat this little crunchy ball with a blend of 5-spice and chili powder to give this kick in your mouth.
And it is A-MA-ZING to eat and it can eaten as a snack as well! Recipe here.
#7 Karaage Japanese Fried Chicken
In Japan, their fried chicken or ‘Karaage’ is dipped in a soy-based marinade and has only a light flour coating.
Frying it not 1 time, not 2 times but 3 times at high heat makes it super crunchy and goes well with mayo and lemon slices to serve.
