20 Legit Work at Home Jobs

My Friend, Julie wanted to earn extra money while staying at home as a housewife, working a couple of hours for extra bucks to pay the bills, without committing herself to the regular 9-5 job. So she was determined to find online jobs that allowed her to work at home. I ended up wanting to follow Julie’s advice and found a job that earns $400 per month. Nowadays, working online at home isn’t a new thing.

WHY ARE ONLINE JOBS SO POPULAR?

Who doesn’t want to have the dream job? Why it’s called the dream job? These are what you will get if you have the dream job :

• You will be able to stay at home or even travel full time.

For me, after I get married and moved to a new country, it has been a difficult time for me to adjust to that culture difference in a company. Everything seemed odd and weird to me. As an introvert, this is definitely the biggest challenge that I have until now. That is why I wanted to start working online.

• Spending more time with your friends or family.

Before moving to this new country, I worked a 9 to 5 job – actually it’s even worse, 8 to 6 job. I spend all my day in the office and most of my nights with my family. But then, I realized that after moving to a new country, I feel like I have spent most of my days in the office rather at home. I tried the 9-5 job and work until late at night. I could not focus on housekeeping which made our house a complete mess and I tend to spend more like eating dinner outside. This had given me a major headache because our spending was bigger than usual. As a frugal wife, this stressed me a lot.

• Earn good money. This is the part where it’s excited me!

Surely the road to earn money through blogging won’t be happening in the blink of an eye. Although it would be nice if it was like that. Haha. But treat your blogging career as a business, then you will be able to earn good money out of it.

HOW DO I KNOW IF THE WEBSITE TO LOOK FOR ONLINE JOB IS LEGIT?

I will introduce you to my uncle… Google! You can find the review by searching: keyword job + is legit or not? Or keyword job + review 2017 or 2018. It won’t hurt your eyes just to read a couple of reviews before applying. Besides, you will find some bloggers that will recommend you on legit job websites based on your niche.

NOT GONNA HOLD YOU ANYMORE, HERE IS THE LIST

Here are some of many online jobs where you can earn good money just like I had! An extra $400 wouldn’t hurt if you only spend a couple of hours in front of the computer, right?

• Virtual Assistant

This type of job is booming nowadays, especially as Pinterest Virtual Assistant. Don’t trust me? Gina Horkey was one of many virtual assistants that blew my mind. She basically made $3000 per month only from her virtual assistant job. You can check her course HERE.

• Personal Trainer

I found this job very appealing especially when you need to lose weight right from your home. Online Personal Trainer will provide meal tips or workout tips for you to do at home and you’ll be able to lose weight without having to go to the gym.

• Online Transcriber

To be able to become a Transcriber you will need a training first. Legit companies that I recommend are Rev and TranscribeMe. Those two will provide lots of transcribing opportunities.

• Graphic Design

There are many platforms you can use to earn money from your skill as a graphic designer. You can offer your service as low as $5 to $100. Here are some good platforms to start your career as a graphic designer:

1. Fiverr – you can offer many services on this platform such as Graphic Design, Writing and Translation, Video and Animation, Programming, and many more.
2. Creative Market – Creative Market is a platform only focused on graphic design, such as logo designing, social media kit, stock photos, etc.
3. Creative Fabrica – Another platform for you to sell graphic design services like Creative Market. What I noticed is the font that Dafont.com or 1001fonts offer for FREE, you can buy it directly on Creative Fabrica with a premium license. This also you can do as a graphic designer. Offer your free version and then you can connect to some platform and sell the premium font there.
4. Fontbundles and Designbundles – This is also the same platform as Creative Fabrica and Creative Market.

• Online Tutor

English tutor, Math Tutor or you name it. This can help you to earn a minimum of $10/hour. Wyzant and Heytutor can help you find jobs.

• Become an Online Seller

This is the best way if you don’t want to start a blog or you want to create your own online shop. From eBay, Etsy, Amazon or Shopify. They are all good platforms for you to start your own shop.

• Blogger

• Affiliate marketing

Affiliate Marketing isn’t something new, everyone knows about this. But how you’ll be able to maximize it? These courses have helped me to know more about affiliate marketing and how you approach it as a blogger:

• Test Website

There are so many websites that provide the job to test websites and apps. These are the legit websites where you can find it:

You can offer your skills to a big brand company by managing their social media. This does not mean you need to be present in an office. You can do it straight from your home.

• Photography

If you love taking beautiful and artistic photos, selling it through the online website could be a perfect job for you.   or even better you can sell photos from your smartphone. Here you can find some app that allows you to sell your photos online.

• Media Editor

Editing videos or podcasts is a huge opportunity nowadays. Youtuber or Blogger will want to pay for your service to edit their videos. This could lead to big income also.

• Virtual Consultant

There are lots of services you can provide as a consultant. Finance consultant, Life coaching consultant or even Travel consultant. I remember when I planned a honeymoon to Japan, there is some blog that provides travel itinerary and translator.

• Answer Surveys

These websites will pay you good money just for answering surveys :

• Freelance writer

Elna from Twinsmommy blog earns thousands per month with her freelance writing job. Check out how she does it RIGHT HERE. You can try Freelancer to apply for this job.

• Web Developer

This job will definitely earn you lots of money if you are that tech guy. You can offer your services through Fiverr or even better, you can sell your service through your own website. Web hosting that I suggest is Siteground. They have helped me a lot as I am not a tech savvy at all. Fast customer service support and fast web-loading are the reasons I’d choose them.

• Virtual Bookkeeper

Bookkeeping sounds like a no-no job. But if you learn and try to do, this job can earn you $80/ hour. Don’t believe me? Head to Ben’s course to see if you are a fit for bookkeeping or not.

• Proofreader

• Captionist

There are some companies that will pay to work even though you are in a remote country. The websites that provide all types of jobs without having high requirements and you can earn money from home are :
