I love, love, love smoothies!
To tell you the truth, I didn’t believe they were so good until I tried making one to replace my usual breakfast.
Smoothies are chock full of nutritious fruits and/or vegetables combined together which can fill you up and avoid you binging on other unhealthy stuff (bacon, I’m looking at you!)
Let me tell you the first time I realized why smoothies were perfect for meal replacement.
One day I was so busy at work that I barely can get out of my chair.
Projects. Deadlines. Stress. Urrgh!!
It was already lunchtime. I told myself that I didn’t want to cook a meal (yes, I do this often.. talking to myself).
I just wanted to have something quick and easy to eat to keep me rolling until dinner time.
Looking inside my fridge, I found some bananas and cocoa powder, and I decided to mix and make a simple smoothie.
These healthy smoothie recipes are delicious and perfect as meal replacement to boost up your day!
I figured a simple protein smoothie with banana, that contains a good amount of potassium, will help me focus better.
Since I usually crave for chocolate (you feel me right?), I added a little bit of cocoa powder.
Now you might think that this smoothie will be tasteless, nope, it’s not. It’s sweet because of the banana.
Back to work again and I was boosted up until dinner time.
And I thought to myself that smoothies are perfect for meal replacement!
Depending on your ingredients, a good smoothie can contain a good amount of carbs, protein, potassium or fat (the good type).
Just pop a bag of prep smoothies into a blender and voila! You’ll get your breakfast/ lunch/ dinner ready in one go.
